“Skanderbeg- from children’s viewpoint”

“Skanderbeg- from children’s viewpoint” is an art exhibition of paintings and sculptures dedicated to our national hero George Castriot Skanderbeg. This event was organized by the National Center for Children’s Culture in collaboration with the National Historical Museum. The Nationwide Year of Skanderbeg encouraged the children to compose original artworks as they perceive their hero: a symbol of the nation, an unbreakable warrior and a magnanimous knight.

At the opening ceremony, the director of the National Historical Museum, Dr. Dorian Koçi, cordially thanked the National Center for Children’s Culture for this cooperation and congratulated the children for their passionate work. Dr. Koçi invited all children, together with their parents, to visit the museum’s pavilions in order to get as much information as possible and to enter the dynamics and developments of our national history.

In total there were 80 works composed in various techniques in painting, sculpture and drawing in aquarium, plasticine, acrylic pencil, graphics. They represent with originality through colors the portrait of Skanderbeg as well as pictures and stories inspired by the history of battles and important events of the time. The participating age group was among 7-13 years old.
